Russian firm: Iran victim of another cyberattack

JERUSALEM (AP) ? A Russian-based internet security firm says a powerful computer virus with unprecedented data-snatching capabilities has attacked machines in Iran and elsewhere in the Middle East.

Iran has not disclosed any damage done by the new spyware virus, dubbed "Flame." Its origin has not been identified, but Israel's vice premier fueled speculation that his country, known for its technological innovation and tireless campaign against Iran's suspect nuclear program, unleashed it.

Russian digital security provider Kaspersky Lab, which identified the virus, said in a release posted on its website late Monday that "the complexity and functionality of the newly discovered malicious program exceed those of all other cyber menaces known to date."

It said preliminary findings suggest the virus has been active since March 2010, but eluded detection because of its "extreme complexity" and the fact that only selected computers are being targeted. Flame's primary purpose, it said, "appears to be cyber espionage, by stealing information from infected machines" and sending it to servers across the world.

According to Kaspersky, the virus collected information not only in Iran, but also in Israel and the Palestinian territories, Sudan, Syria, Lebanon, Saudi Arabia and Egypt. Iran, however, was far and away the country most affected, it said.

A unit of the Iranian communications and information technology ministry said only that it has produced an antivirus capable of identifying and removing the new malware. The Flame virus is the fourth known cyber attack on Iranian computer systems.

Comments Tuesday by Israel's vice premier did little to deflect suspicion about possible Israeli involvement in the latest attack.

"Whoever sees the Iranian threat as a significant threat is likely to take various steps, including these, to hobble it," Vice Premier Moshe Yaalon told Army Radio. "Israel is blessed with high technology, and we boast tools that open all sorts of opportunities for us."

Israel, like the West, rejects Tehran's claims that its nuclear program is designed to produce energy, not bombs. It considers Iran to be the greatest threat to its survival and repeatedly, if obliquely, threatened to attack Iran's nuclear facilities if Tehran doesn't abandon its uranium enrichment project, a key element of bomb making.

Because Flame is so complex, was not designed to hack into bank accounts and doesn't have the hallmarks of amateur hackers, Kaspersky has concluded that the research that went into the code was government-sponsored.

The code offers no information that can tie Flame to any specific country, Kaspersky said in its release, but a company agent in Israel said "you could more or less put your finger on any Western nation."

There is no indication of what kind of material it stole, but "we know that the computers that were infected were computers with very sensitive information" because the virus can be modified to mine whatever information is sought, added Ilan Froimovici, technical director at Power Communications, Kaspersky's representative in Israel.

Evidence suggests the same programmers were behind both Flame and Stuxnet, a virus that disrupted controls of some nuclear centrifuges in Iran in 2010, Froimovici said. The centrifuges are devices used in enriching uranium.

The two codes "use the same vulnerabilities in the operating system and the computer infrastructure in order to infect the computer system. We do believe that the same programmers built the two codes," he said.

Udi Mokady, CEO of Cyber-Ark, an Israeli developer of information security, said he thought four countries, in no particular order, have the technological know-how to develop so sophisticated a cyber offensive: Israel, the U.S., China and Russia.

"It was 20 times more sophisticated than Stuxnet," with thousands of lines of code that took a large team, ample funding and months, if not years, to develop, he said.

"It's a live program that communicates back to its master. It asks, where should I go? What should I do now? It's really almost like a science fiction movie."

Iran claims Stuxnet and other computer viruses have done no serious harm to Iran's nuclear or industrial facilities, and sees them as part of a campaign by Israel, the U.S. and their allies, which includes the assassination of Iranian nuclear scientists, to undermine the Iranian nuclear program.

Kaspersky said the cyber espionage worm came to its attention after the United Nations' International Telecommunication Union asked it for help in finding a piece of malware that was deleting sensitive information across the Middle East. The company stumbled across Flame when searching for that other code, it said.

The discovery of the Flame virus comes just days after talks between Iran and six world powers in Baghdad failed to persuade Tehran to freeze enrichment. A new round of nuclear talks is expected to take place in Moscow next month.

Yaalon, the Israeli vice premier, told Army Radio on Tuesday that the talks in Iraq "yielded no significant achievement" except to let Iran buy time. He appeared to take a swipe at President Barack Obama by saying it might "even be in the interest of some players in the West to play for time."

Yaalon in the past expressed disappointment that the U.S. has delayed plans to expand sanctions against Iran, suggesting Washington was afraid the penalties would send oil prices soaring and hurt Obama's re-election chances.

What's Pre-Construction Genuine Estate Investing? | ApostolicCM ...

The idea of pre-construction investments when it comes to actual estate is actually fairly an intelligent way through which a lot of have produced thousands and thousands. The principle is simple genuinely. Devote in a property before when it?s within the arranging stage. Those that will likely be developing these properties need income and traders to be able to do get the making off the bottom. By investing (in quite a few situations fundamentally getting possibilities to purchase) within the units, normally condo models in substantial need places, before the ground is broken traders typically possess the option of investing for pennies within the anticipated greenback once the creating is comprehensive and may re-sell the house at complete marketplace value when the creating is comprehensive pocketing the difference within the original expense along with the inquiring price.

This can be a win-win scenario for quite a few builders or ?owners? from the property in questions simply because ?pre-selling? the models will allow lending agents to have confidence inside the viability in the project as a revenue earner by selling numerous from the units sight unseen. The advantage to investors is that they are able to buy in a substantially decrease value pre-construction than afterwards and may market afterwards at the full market place value (or over in a few higher need and beneath saturated locations for true estate).

This style of investing isn?t nearly as glamorous to some as flipping homes. There are no beast to elegance renovations. You can find, however, some issues that really should be kept in mind while generating this sort of transaction.

To begin with, no true estate venture is actually guaranteed to turn a financial gain no matter what the glossy small brochures tell you. With all the existing trends in house product sales, this really is typically not the most beneficial environment for pre-construction investing although these things have a tendency to adjust frequently which market could be looking up again in the pretty near future.

Second, networking is more normally than not the very best way to break into this particular business enterprise. You?ll find all kinds of fly by evening could be real estate investors. The ones that manage to last are these that community with other real estate agents and people that have certain pursuits and knowledge with pre-construction investments. Be a part of neighborhood groups moreover to on-line groups that deal specifically with this sort of financial investment so as to get a lot more details additional promptly. The charges involved may seem challenging initially but they?re far much less compared to charges of acquiring in more than your head by not possessing a grasp of even the most standard ?ins? and ?outs? of pre-construction genuine estate investing.

Third, develop a close-knit partnership having a realtor that specializes in this particular style of actual estate investing. This could show to be essentially the most advantageous issue you may actually do as a way to insure long term good results. Be building the correct connection with all the ideal real estate agent you?ll be able to get info on new houses just before they help it become to the community sector. This puts you within the rare and fantastic place of beating the competitors towards the punch. This provides you a considerably greater shot at receiving the rock bottom costs that happen to be often missed by waiting too long to create the acquire.

Fourth, be prepared to hold onto the house for a tiny while in case you really need to do so. The problem with pre-construction investing is the fact that you can find no assures that once the time will come you might happen to be able to ?seal the deal?. Factors come up even once you have a purchaser that may be prepared and keen to make the obtain. To put it differently, there are instances any time you will need to maintain onto the residence for a short even though and in some cases as being a long-term expense. Some solutions within the case of long-term retains would incorporate renting the residence out to vacationers if it truly is within a high need vacationer location. You can use your realtor to assist with that. This will allow the house to be earning some income until the sale is often made. Other people decided to hold onto the residence as being a personal holiday dwelling for on their own, pals, and loved ones. Within the end, the essential thing is that there is a ?Plan B? for that residence should really the offer drop by means of and you are left paying the monthly note.

Pre-construction genuine estate investing may well not possess the ?name in lights? attractiveness that other types of investing carry however it does provide a viable investment type that has the prospective to bring in considerable income. The name from the video game with regards to investing is earnings so keep this in thoughts when thinking of your expense solutions. This is one of the forms of investing that requires (in many cases) the minimum quantity of cash up entrance.

@2z Useful: Exercise crucial to older adults fitness and health

Washington, May 27 (ANI): Several people consider aging to be a time to slow down and take it easy.

However, a recent study suggests that the more we age, the more we need exercise to keep us independent and healthy.

Yet, sometimes it takes a prescription from the doctor to get adults up and moving.

"Exercise is important for almost everyone. There are very few medical conditions that exercise won't benefit. In fact, I sometime write a prescription to get my patients to start taking this seriously and help them understand exercise can be just as helpful as medication," said Keith Veselik, director of primary care at Loyola University Health System and associate professor in the Department of Medicine at Loyola University Chicago Stritch School of Medicine.

"Around age 35 is when our muscle mass and resting metabolism starts to decrease. When this happens our bodies require more, not less exercise to manage our caloric intake. When this starts to happen we can eat the same things, do the same things and may gain 3 pounds a year. That's 30 pounds in a decade, "he said.

Though exercising is beneficial to nearly everyone, before starting a program he advises that people, especially those who have not been active, to consult a doctor to determine their baseline and to get guidance about what exercises would be most advantageous.

"In my own life I've seen the benefits of exercising. When that alarm goes off in the morning I want to just roll over, but I've seen such a positive change in so many ways. It can be difficult, especially at first, but the benefits truly out weigh the struggles," said Veselik.

Veselik claimed that the best workout program balances cardiovascular exercise, strength training and flexibility. He recommends an hour of cardiovascular exercise four days a week, two days of strength training for 30 minutes and balance and flexibility exercises such as stretching, yoga or pilotes, one to two times a week.

But what is most beneficial doesn't always translate into what is doable.

Each decade of the old age has unique challenges. Veselik gives some ideas of how to use exercise to counter those health hurdles.

For those who are in 50's cardiovascular exercise are the most favourable one.

Muscle and joint aches and pains start becoming more apparent, so Veselik suggests that one should get creative about how to keep up cardiovascular exercise as it is easy on the joints but get the heart rate up.

He recommends trying exercising in a pool or riding a bike instead of running. If you do run, make sure you have good shoes and try to run on softer surfaces.

Cardiovascular exercise also helps to fight many of the most common and deadly medical problems, including heart disease, asthma and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD).

"But don't go from doing nothing to running a marathon. Talk to your doctor, ask about risk factors and together create a plan that's right for you," said Veselik.

Another complaint for people in their 50s is back pain.

"The best way to protect your back is to build strong core muscles and make sure you are lifting heavy objects correctly," said Veselik.

In the 60's balancing and leg strengthening exercises should be prime concern.

As we enter our 60s, balance and strength should be a major focus. Many people are scared of breaking a hip which can limit independence. Also, our bones aren't as strong and both men and women become more susceptible to osteoporosis.

To help fight these concerns Veselik suggests that incorporating balance and leg strengthening exercises to increase flexibility as well as balance to help prevent accidental falls. Weight-bearing exercise is vital to bone health and keeping bone density strong.

In addition, many adults in their 60's begin to experience symptoms from arthritis, making the exercise difficult.

"Exercise has been proven to help people deal with their arthritis. It's just making sure your exercise routine is working for you, not against you. Some people forget that walking is a great form of exercise, just make sure you get your heart rate up. Also, aquatic classes or swimming are a great way for people with arthritis or fibromyalgia to exercise," said Veselik.

For the people in their 70's and beyond, Alzheimer and vascular dementia becomes the most regular problem and exercises are crucial to fight them.

"The biggest worry I hear from my patients who are entering their 70s, 80s and beyond is dementia. The two most common forms are Alzheimer's and Vascular dementia," said Veselik.

He also insisted that exercise is the only thing that is proven to prevent Alzheimer's. And, many of the major risk factors for vascular dementia, high blood pressure, high cholesterol and diabetes, can be countered with exercise.

"Exercise is important, but it's not the end all. It needs to be coupled with eating right and incorporating other healthy habits to lead to a better quality of life," Veselik added. (ANI)

Location is key to sting of summer gas prices

In February, few could have guessed that a brief fire at a refinery in Cherry Point, Wash., would have a more dramatic effect on U.S. gasoline prices than the threat of war in the Middle East or a historic boom in domestic oil output.

Yet three months later, with the BP plant barely back in action, West Coast motorists are paying a record premium for their gasoline relative to the rest of the country, even as sinking global oil prices curb costs at the pump.

In California, drivers are ponying up 55 cents a gallon more than motorists in neighboring Arizona.
The historically wide discrepancy is driven by a combination of factors specific to the West Coast: higher crude oil costs; California's ultra-clean gasoline specifications; the absence of alternatives; and the second-highest tax rate in the nation.

But it also highlights the peculiarities of the U.S. gasoline market at a time of unprecedented change in the country's oil flows. The rise of ethanol, the discovery of North Dakota shale oil, the collapse of the East Coast refining sector and the lack of pipeline capacity to adjust to these changes have roiled traders -- but brought few changes to the usual disparities in gasoline prices from one state to the next.

As U.S. drivers hit the highway this Memorial Day weekend, they will find that a years-long glut of Midwest crude is failing to generate cut-price motor fuel in the heartland; months of angst over shut-down refineries on the East Coast have failed to translate into a spike in local prices.

Even so, the economic burden of near $4-a-gallon gasoline is not evenly shared. The West Coast is bearing more than its fair share of the pain while refiners near the Rockies region gorge on cheap, local crude, yielding a glut of inexpensive fuel.

In an election year when the finger-pointing for high energy costs has started early and votes from so-called swing states will hold the limelight, pundits on all sides of the energy issue are sure to seize the subject.

About 30.7 million people will drive 50 miles or more away from home between May 24 and 28, travel group AAA forecast last week, a slightly more than 1 percent rise from a year earlier. The government projects that U.S. summer gasoline prices will average $3.79 a gallon, up 8 cents from last year.

The push and pull of increasingly disparate prices from one state to the next may make it even more difficult to gauge the impact on consumption in the United States, whose gasoline demand accounts for a tenth of the world's oil use.

At 8.63 million barrels per day, gasoline demand last week showed its weakest level for May since 2003, according to the latest data from the Department of Energy.

"The overall tone in the gasoline market is that we've already reached the highest point and prices will continue to drop," said Ben Brockwell, director of data, pricing & information services with Oil Price Information Service (OPIS).

"That's making people wonder if we're going to see any kind of demand rebound this summer," he added.

Here are some snapshots of the market dynamics influencing prices in key U.S. regions:

West Coast: Energy island
Had the Cherry Point blaze started in any of the refineries that flank the Houston Ship Channel or the Louisiana coast, its effects would have been short-lived. Retail prices rarely budge on account of outages in the Gulf Coast, which has produced a surplus of refined fuels for at least two years and is home to more than 40 percent of U.S. refining capacity.

But California, home to the nation's largest refining industry behind Texas and Louisiana, has little spare capacity and no readily available alternative supplies.

Few refiners in the world can produce the California Reformulated Gasoline Blendstock for Oxygenate Blending (CARBOB). Even if they could, there are no fuel pipelines from the Rocky Mountains or the Midwest to the coast, and tanker deliveries from Asia or the Gulf Coast take weeks.

"California refiners are required to make the most expensive type of gasoline in America, in fact, in the planet, with those specifications," said Charles Drevna, president of American Fuel and Petrochemical Manufacturers.

"Given their crude slate, they've made themselves into an island," he added.

California, the world's ninth-largest economy, also levies a steep 69-cent tax per gallon on fuel sales, second only to New York, according to the American Petroleum Institute.

Its refineries depend increasingly on pricier crude from South America and the Middle East, as Alaskan output has declined to its lowest in at least 30 years.

Even before Cherry Point, the region was bracing for tighter gasoline supplies.

"There was already an expectation that the spring turnaround season would be higher than normal due to planned events. The addition of the unplanned outage at BP Cherry Point really tilted the scales," said David Elpers, analyst at energy research firm IIR Energy.

About 7.3 percent or some 224,000 barrels per day of West Coast refining capacity will be offline in the second quarter, much more than the usual 5 percent outage rate, according to IIR Energy data and projections.

West Coast gasoline stocks have dropped to their lowest on record for May, just before the peak-use driving season starts, weekly government data released on Wednesday showed.

At $4.33 a gallon on Wednesday, California had the most expensive retail gasoline among the lower 48 states, data from AAA, the travel group, showed. Overall West Coast gasoline prices last week were 61 cents above the national average, the biggest gap on record, according to government data.

South Carolina offered the cheapest gasoline in the country at $3.34 a gallon.

Midwest: Trappted crude
About two-thirds of the pump price of gasoline is tied to crude oil costs, according to the Department of Energy. Another 15 percent covers refining margins, 11 percent is state taxes, and the remaining 8 percent goes to transportation costs.

So it is natural to expect cheaper gasoline in the Midwest, where a glut of crude from Canadian sands and U.S. shale outposts sits trapped awaiting new pipelines.

That surplus caused a growing glut to develop at the Cushing, Oklahoma oil storage hub, the southernmost point to which a producer can easily ship excess oil and the delivery point for the U.S. crude futures contract. A pipeline that began pumping last weekend will ultimately help ease that oversupply.

As a result, a record gap has opened between U.S. benchmark crude and pricier European Brent, as wide as $28 a barrel in October last year.

This has failed to translate into bargains at the pump for Midwest drivers for one reason -- no matter how cheap the crude is, local refiners still can't make enough gasoline.

Midwest motorists consume about 13 percent more gasoline than the region's refineries produce. So, gas stations pull gallons up the Magellan, Enterprise and Explorer pipelines from the Gulf Coast hub, illustrating an immutable law of commodity markets: it's the marginal barrel (or gallon or bushel) that determines the final price.

Too many barrels and prices can crash; too few and consumers are forced to pay up across the board to get access to the last drop. Transit through the main pipelines alone can add as much as 4 cents a gallon, according to Midwest traders.

"It's always that last barrel in that dictates the price at the pump. You still need to attract imports of gasoline from the Gulf Coast and that means your gasoline price has to be as high as or higher than it is in the Gulf Coast," said Jan Stuart, head of energy research at Credit Suisse.

"I think most of the difference in the crude cost accrues to the refiner and not to the consumer," he added.
While doing little for the nation's drivers, the surge in crude output has made big winners out of Midwest refiners, who paid about $97 per barrel for the crude they processed in February, 9.45 percent lower than the national average, according to data from the U.S. Department of Energy.

Refiners are sucking up the discount. Marathon Petroleum , the largest in the Midwest, saw its 2011 net income surge nearly four-fold to $2.39 billion.

Profit margins have since ballooned to more than $31 a barrel as of last week, according to Credit Suisse, and yet gas stations in Illinois sold the ninth most expensive gasoline in the United States on Wednesday. Other Midwest states hovered in the mid-ranges in terms of costs at the pump.

On average, retail prices of regular gasoline in the Midwest -- known as the PADD II region -- were only 2.4 percent lower than the national average in the week ending Monday, government data showed.

Rocky Mountains: Big winners. briefly
If California is an island, the Rocky Mountain states are a cul-de-sac, benefiting from an occasional surplus of crude and fuel supplies with nowhere else to go.

Unlike Gulf Coast refiners, which can export record volumes of gasoline as well as shipping it into the Midwest, refiners in the Rockies produce gasoline solely for regional consumption. Such localized output, and the region's strategic location at the confluence point of five major fuel pipelines, has given drivers from Denver to Cheyenne relief at the pump.

Rockies gasoline prices in February and early March fell to a record 57-cent discount to the rest of the country as cheap discounts in Canadian crude coincided with active refinery runs. It helps that Wyoming has the nation's second-lowest tax rate at 32.4 cents a gallon; only Alaska's is lower.

The surge in production from Canada and North Dakota has also given Rockies refiners enough reason to run full force. On average, they paid the least amount for their crude in February at $92.36 a barrel, Energy Department data shows.

Only about 7,000 bpd of refining capacity in the Rockies was offline in the first quarter, a third as much as usual, data from IIR Energy shows. But second-quarter outages will be more than the five-year average, the data shows, helping explain why retail gasoline prices have quickly returned to average levels.

East Coast: Blues
As the mid-continent refining industry booms, disaster has struck on the East Coast, dramatically reducing supplies.

Amid rising global competition and falling local demand, more than 2.1 million barrels per day of refining capacity on the Atlantic Basin has either been shut or is at risk of closure, a record culling of excess capacity that has fueled fears of a potential summer shortage of gasoline.

The alarms have sounded in the White House, where President Barack Obama is fighting attacks over high fuel prices as he seeks reelection.

Delta Air Lines' surprise deal to buy an endangered Pennsylvania refinery aside, the outlook is grim for U.S. East Coast refiners, which lack easy access to cheap U.S. oil and are having to buy costlier North Sea and West African crude. Even the airline's new plant will not be revived in time for summer.

Despite grave concerns over supply, however, New York and Pennsylvania gasoline prices are yet to break through the roof. With the exception of New York, which has the nation's largest taxes on sales at 69.6 cents a gallon, gasoline prices have stayed below $4 a gallon in East Coast states.

East Coast gasoline prices briefly reached a record 22-cent premium to the rest of the country in late February, due in part to the slump in the Rocky Mountains -- but have since reversed course to a discount against the national average.

The reason? Plentiful alternatives and the advantage of being the trading hub for U.S. fuels.

"There's a good deal of imports and refining capacity in Canada that supplies the East Coast and the futures market there promotes inventory building," said Philip K. Verleger, an oil markets analyst.

Futures contracts for reformulated gasoline traded on the New York Mercantile Exchange stipulate sellers will deliver gasoline barrels at the New York Harbor.

East Coast drivers can also thank Colonial Pipeline, the major conduit for refined fuels from the Gulf to East coasts, for quickly expanding its capacity to meet the region's needs.

"Six months ago, experts said gasoline prices could hit $5 a gallon this summer," John Felmy, chief economist at the American Petroleum Institute, said. "They've stopped making those predictions."

BBC iPlayer reaching Windows Phone within 'weeks,' will catch up with Sherlock on your Lumia (update: perhaps not)

Image

We've see BBC iPlayer reach many devices over time, but it's been conspicuously absent on Windows Phone. Nokia has stepped into give us some relief, and it's now promising that a port of the TV catch-up service will be ready for your Lumia 800 "in weeks." Good news no doubt, although Nokia's encyclopedic knowledge of British TV streaming is also dashing hopes of using the Sky Go mobile app on Windows Phone anytime soon: the same Nokia rep doesn't see Sky being ready for a "good few months" at the earliest. As such, you'll have no problems keeping up with Doctor Who and Sherlock when they're airing, but we wouldn't count on watching live football matches for awhile.

Update: Pocket-lint is reporting that it quizzed the BBC over this issue and got a firm denial about a Windows Phone version, which suggests that The Inquirer's report, or its Nokia source, may have made an illogical deduction.

(AP) ? Easy to understand why Andy Roddick never enjoyed playing on red clay all that much.

First and foremost, the footing is tricky as can be. The soft courts take his booming serves and forehands down a notch, too. Put simply, his game is built for hard or grass courts. As if that weren't enough, he arrived at this French Open having played only 16 matches in a season interrupted by injuries to his right hamstring and right ankle.

If Roddick was tempted to sit out Roland Garros altogether ? or tempted to use his health or rust as an excuse for playing poorly ? he did not. The 26th-seeded American, once ranked No. 1 and once a Grand Slam champion, gave it a shot and came up short Sunday, exiting in a major tournament's opening round for the first time since 2007, and at the same venue.

His 6-3, 6-3, 4-6, 6-2 loss to 88th-ranked Nicolas Mahut at the French Open dropped Roddick's record to 7-10 this season, 0-4 on clay. Of the seven previous major title winners in action on Day 1 in Paris, including Venus Williams in her first Grand Slam match since revealing in August she was diagnosed with an autoimmune disease, only Roddick was beaten.

"Wasn't playing really well. I move just horrendously out here. My first step is just so bad on this stuff," Roddick said. "I feel like I'm always shuffling or hopping or not stopping or something."

Like Roddick, and for much the same reasons, Williams is not nearly as comfortable on clay as faster surfaces.

She's also dealing with the difficult process of learning to live with Sjogren's syndrome, a condition that can cause fatigue and joint pain. But the 31-year-old Williams, a seven-time major champion, overcame a slow start Sunday to beat 19-year-old Paula Ormaechea of Argentina 4-6, 6-1, 6-3.

"A lot of it, I have to figure it out. It's physical and emotional and all kinds of different things. Mental," Williams said of her medical condition. "It's a big accomplishment for me to be here right now."

She looked glum on court, not even smiling after most of her 41 winners (Ormaechea only had 15). But she laughed frequently during her news conference, such as when she talked about what she's been going through as "definitely an adventure and journey; it's life happening."

The other past major champions who won Sunday were Juan Martin del Potro, Juan Carlos Ferrero, Sam Stosur, Ana Ivanovic and Svetlana Kuznetsova. Monday's schedule includes Novak Djokovic, Roger Federer, Victoria Azarenka and Li Na.

Mahut hit more aces than Roddick, 13-8, and broke him seven times, including in the last game on Court Suzanne Lenglen, an arena the American is not fond of.

Roddick only once made it as far as the fourth round in 10 trips to Roland Garros, in 2009. He's lost in the first round five times now. And there's a reason the guy never saw success at the French Open the way he did at the U.S. Open (champion), Wimbledon (runner-up three times) or Australian Open (semifinalist four times).

"I just feel like I get exposed too easily out here. I feel like I'm not set on most shots. If you're not set, it's tough to get much of a flow going. When you don't have much of a flow going, it lends itself to sporadic play. It all adds up," Roddick said. "You can't fake it out here. ... It's tough to lie out here."

Back on tour last week after two months away, Roddick was asked a handful of times about his physical state and recovery.

"I'm going to not discuss it. I made a choice. I played. I'm fine. I lost," he said, his expression downcast under a blue baseball hat bearing the logo of his French sponsor.

"Not being confident on something isn't the same as just not being bothered with it. You know, as athletes, we're preconditioned to hope sometimes. Coming into this, I didn't have much to kind of prop myself up on," Roddick said. "But, you know, I played a guy who it's not his favorite surface either, so there was a chance. You just don't know. If everyone pulled out of every tournament when they weren't feeling great or confident, we wouldn't have a lot of fields that were much to write home about. We'd have about four people in most draws."

Mahut lost in the first round eight times in nine previous appearances in Paris. He is best known for losing the longest match in tennis history to John Isner, 70-68 in the fifth set at Wimbledon in the first round in 2010.

Mahut acknowledged the 29-year-old man he faced Sunday "was not the No. 1 Roddick, the No. 1 player in the world that we know."

Still, Roddick did make a bit of a stand, hitting a backhand passing winner down the line to take the third set, then breaking Mahut to open the fourth.

"Then," Roddick would lament, "it fell apart pretty quick."

Now it's on to a happier segment of the season.

"There are a lot of guys who know how to play on clay, and it's just second nature to them," Roddick said. "I feel that way on grass, so hopefully I can turn it around there."

He'll play next at Queen's Club, which starts in London on June 11, then Wimbledon.

After that, he wants to play at the Olympics, which will have tennis on the grass of the All England Club.

And what about his supposed plan to play mixed doubles at the London Games with Serena Williams?

"Ask her. I can't get ahold of her," Roddick replied. "If you see her, ask her for me."

Choosing Between Connecticut Electric Suppliers and New Jersey ...

More Details about http:// here.

There are several new choices of New Jersey electric suppliers as well as Connecticut electric suppliers. These two states have successful deregulated electricity markets offering customers a variety of competitive electric suppliers to choose from to save money. A consumer can now choose where to get their power from and select a provider with a lower rate. This is a great benefit as everyone would like to lower their monthly bills and this is an easy way to do it!

New Jersey electric suppliers are growing in numbers and providing highly competitive rates to customers in PSEG, JCP&L and ACE. The savings is quite significant averaging around 20 percent. Connecticut electric suppliers are also providing up to 20 percent off of electric bills for CL&P and UI customers. As long as you know where to look, you can find easy ways to compare the various options available in your state. You just need a recent copy of your utility bill and you can compare, switch and save in just a few minutes.

It is important to realize that there are no fees to switch to a new electric supplier in Connecticut or New Jersey which makes switching to a new supplier very easy. Also, since there is very rarely a cancellation fee, you have the freedom to switch suppliers at any time. In addition, there is no interruption in your service when you make the switch to a new supplier and you will continue to receive the same bill from your utility as usual.

When you are gearing up for the warmer months of summer you might want to consider switching now as it will take 1-2 months for the new supplier and lower rates to take effect on your bill. Consumers Increasing Spending on Home Remodeling in 2012 ...

Consumers are spending and contractors are loving it.

According to several new reports, homeowners have begun to increase their spending on home remodeling. This trend is expected to continue through this year and into next year. Compared to the last 12 months, homeowners have already started to spend more on home improvement goods.

NPD, who studied the sales of home improvement goods,?is a market research firm that tracks consumer spending. NPD noticed a 5.3% up tick in sales of home improvement goods compared to the previous 12-month period. In fact, 83% of the categories they followed made gains during the same period.

Interior lighting (up 6.1%), faucets (up 15.4%), and shower heads (up 16.3%) werea among the areas that saw the largest sales increases nationwide.

Studies from American Express are also predicting an increase in home improvement in the U.S. for the rest of 2012. They note that 70% of homeowners are planning to improve their homes in 2012, as opposed to only 64% in 2011.

All of this movement is good news for the recovering housing industry. For more information about NDP see their website, and for more information about the American Express study, see the study overview.

My suggestion would be don?t mix these, who knows what the effects will be. If you must take the acid I would wait until you are done with the allergy medication.
